The Fourth Beasts

This entry is part 7 of 6 in the series Secrets of the Bible

Daniel 7:1-3 “In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon Daniel had a dream and visions of his head upon his bed: then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters.

Daniel spake and said, I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.

The first was like a lion, and had eagle’s wings: I beheld till the wings thereof were plucked, and it was lifted up from the earth and was made to stand upon the feet as a man, and a man’s heart was given to it.”

Hello everyone, my name is Kevin President and founder of Spectacle for Christ, welcome to Spectacle for Christ Ministry. Today, I would like to share with you some mystery regarding the four beasts found on the pages of the book of Revelation and the book of Daniel and other places throughout the bible because it is important to know how we will gain victory over the antichrist.

Before leaving his disciples and while facing the cross, and his death, Jesus said to his disciples, John 16:32-33 “Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

The saints of Christ left behind in the world to complete the mission of the kingdom will face opposition from the world, and because of this coming opposition, we will need to prepare ourselves and are told to be of good courage because Jesus has overcome the world.

In the future to come, there will be a time of great distress, a time of great trouble and persecution that will come against the Church of God, and before this persecution comes there is a need for us to encourage each other because the times to come will be a time of trouble for the saints.

Daniel told us, there will arise a fourth empire, four in total leading up to the end and return of Jesus Christ, and this fourth empire will have come to dominate the whole world, and when it comes, it will be different from the empires before it an empire that will challenge the saints and the coming kingdom of God.

But the good news we have although the saints of the Highest will face a great deal of trouble during the times of these great beasts is that we will in the end have the victory because according to the promise of God, he will support the saints in taking the kingdom out of the hands of the Antichrist.

Daniel 7:17-18 These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. But the saints of the Highest shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.

This is a promise repeated throughout scripture, the saints will be persecuted, but in every instance, God will lend help to his people and they will overcome the powers of the kingdoms.

Psalm 149:5-6 “Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand;” And the reason we are to rejoice in glory; and have the praise of our God in our mouth it is because God will give the command at his appearance and we will bind the kings of the earth in chains. We will execute the vengeance of the Lord upon the kingdoms of the earth.

Psalm 149:7-9Execute vengeance upon the heathens and punishments upon the people; bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron;  execute upon them the judgment written: this is the reward of the saints. Praise ye the LORD.”

The saints of the Highest will have rule over the nations to the honour and glory of God, but before that day, we will have to endure the season of persecution as we wait for the Lord to return with the reward he has for the faithful.

But who are the four beasts of Revelation bowing before the throne of God? For most of us, these four beasts are angels of God full of eyes, they are beings of great power we can’t seem to understand, beings we are trying to understand who and what they are.

However, if we were to look back in history, we will see that these four beasts are the four great empires of the past, and the fourth to come will be the last and final empire to have risen against Christ before the saints are granted the right to execute the justice of God.

Daniel 7:2-3I saw in my vision by night, and, behold, the four winds of the heaven strove upon the great sea. And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another.

The four winds are the very same four beasts, the first is like a lion, the second is like a bear, the third is like a leopard, and the fourth was more dreadful and terrible than those that came before it.

These beasts did not all came to power at the same time, they all came to power with the support of the people, the great sea on which they strove each in their time and season.

Each had its reign in its own time with the support of the great sea the people that supported them, and when the time had come for God to be glorified in each season of these great beasts, he brought them down, and as they fall, the incoming empire or rising beast that would replace the one before it breaks the one before it and incorporates its people into its empire.

Daniel 7:7  “I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.”

But when we come to the book of Revelation, we see these four beasts before the throne of God, beasts we thought were angelic beings of God, however, what we have before us is the fulfilment of the word of God where the nations of all the earth are bowing before the Lord our King, Jesus the Christ.

In the book of Revelation, There are four great beasts full of eyes before and behind the throne of God. They were the defeated kingdoms who had opposed Christ in their season, and the eyes of the beasts are the conquered people the great sea of people of each of the empires that were dominated by the other. And now that Christ has come, and he has fulfilled Isaiah 9:7.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever.

By the zeal of the Lord and because God was determined to establish his kingdom on the earth to his glory and honour, the nations are brought before the throne of God to honour the king and to be judged by the King of kings and Lord of Lord, Jesus the Christ. “The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.”

Philippians 2:9-11 “ God has greatly exalted Jesus and has given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in the earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

The four beasts of the earth shall be brought before the throne of God, the saints on behalf of God and to the glory of Jesus Christ will defeat the fourth beast as they have done in time past. And when they will have put down the fourth and final empire to come to the glory of God, they will bring the nations before Christ and the nations and all the people, the descendants of those empires that had opposed Christ will kneel before Christ and give him glory.

Daniel 7:21-22 “I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them, but only until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Highest, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.”
