Mark of the Beast

This entry is part 3 of 6 in the series Secrets of the Bible

Matthew 7:15-20Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Do men gather grapes from thorns or figs or from thistles? Even so, every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits, ye shall know them.”

Hello everyone, my name is Kevin President and founder of Spectacle for Christ, welcome to Spectacle for Christ Ministry. Before we get into our series on the book of Psalms one, we would like to reveal several secrets we are to know as Christians, and one of those secrets is the mark of the beast.

You may ask, why do we need to know what the mark of the beast is. Well, it is because as we approach the return of Jesus Christ we will begin to see the rise of the antichrist and the implementation of his mark in this world.

As a matter of fact, the foundation for his mark is being built at this moment, and the way it is being structured is on the backs of ignorance and public opinion.

So what is the mark of the beast? To begin, we will need to pay close attention to what Jesus said in Matthew 7:15-20 because Jesus warned us to be careful of false prophets who will come to us in sheep clothing who to the contrary of the gospel are ravening wolves.

And what we need to understand about this statement of Jesus is that he is helping us to identify the mark of a person and that of the beast.

In his words, Jesus said, the way we will identify a false prophet will be by the fruit they bear, we are to know the mark of a man is the way he lived his life, so although we may preach one thing as men, the mark of our lives will be what we do and support.

When we think of a false prophet, let us not look for a false prophet with a religious mindset because the term prophet is not only a religious mark, for it is a title given to anyone who is a messenger.

A prophet of God is a messenger of God and that makes him a prophet bearing the fruits of God and righteousness, he is a messenger of God bearing the news of God’s kingdom. And as we look into the world, we will find there are those standing in opposition to the kingdom of God, and according to their stance, they will bear a message of falsehood.

They will be cunning in their approach, they are ravening wolves because they will through deception achieve their motives, and if we are not wise as children of God, we will fall for their deception. That is why Jesus said, by their fruits, you shall know them and warned us to be aware of false prophets. That means we are to look not only at the message of the man, but we are to also pay close attention to the lifestyle of the man, the fruit he bears.

With that said, what is the mark of the beast? The mark of the beast is the fruit of the beast, and it is the mark of a man and the mark of a nation as a whole. It is the law they live by and promote, and the authority they give to their king by enforcing the law of their king.

Jesus said in his word, John 15:14Ye are my friends if ye do whatsoever I command you.” In other words, by your fruit, you will show you are my friend. And again, by the way, you live your lives according to my commandments, you will show that you are my friends.

Now, that would mean, although we may say we are friends of Jesus the king, the way we live our lives will show whether we are truly the friend of God’s son or not. Because James a disciple of Jesus had reminded the people in his generation concerning the words of Jesus saying, James 4:4 “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”

Now, that leads us to ask this question, how is someone a friend of the world? To answer that question, to be a friend of the world is to make its laws the standard and authority by which you live. And will the beast not issue a mark? And will he not force the whole world to receive a mark in the right hand or their foreheads?

According to the scripture, he will, but how many of us know to receive a mark on the right hand is a show that we have made the law and way of the world the authority on which we stand, and the authority we will defend with our lives. The law of the world is the mark of a man just as the mark of God’s law is the mark of the children of God.

Therefore, when we read the words of Moses to the children of Israel in comparison to the mark of the beast, we will see that what has been revealed is the reality we face and are facing in this world today.

Here is what God said concerning his law, the law we are to make the authority in our lives. First, God told his people, He God is the only true and living God and they are to commit their lives to him and must be willing to lay down their lives for him because this will be the mark of Israel and all of God’s children. The law of our God will be our identity and the way we live our lives.  It will be the fruit we bear and the mark we defend; therefore, they are to be in our hearts.

Deuteronomy 6:4-6 “Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

Moses the messenger and prophet of God then went on to say, we are to teach the law of God to our children, and we are to talk about them every moment of our lives, and the reason? They are the authority and the mark we live by. By the law of God, we will be identified as the children of God.

Deuteronomy 6:7 “Thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou rises up.” Moses then went on to say, we are to bind them upon our hands and on the frontlets between our eyes.

The law of God is to be both the authority we stand on, the way we live our lives and our mark, and it is to be the knowledge of God’s people. That is why we are to bind them upon our hands as a sign and place them between the frontlets of our eyes; because the mark and law of God is our authority. Therefore, we are to bind them upon our hands, and the law and mark of God is the knowledge of his people, therefore, we are to set them between the frontlets of our eyes.

For the hand is a representation for authority and power, and the head is for knowledge, for it is by the knowledge of the law of God we will live our lives and bear fruit according to what we know, and it is by the law we will act and justify our actions in the kingdom by taking a stand against those things that opposes what we believe and support.

Daniel 7:25  “He shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.” The antichrist with the support of those blindly accepting his rule will change laws, he will pervert the law through public opinion and so persecute the saints of God.

Revelation 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man, and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”

And what we need to know is that the number “Six hundred threescore and six” is not only the number of the beast, instead, it is the number of the whole world standing behind the beast or antichrist becoming one man, one body of people in support of the law, policies, and mark of the beast. The law.
