Have you ever wondered as a Christian how the drama will play out as we approach the return of Jesus, and have you ever considered our role in the end of the world?

You will be amazed to know we do have a role to play in taking down the Antichrist as this drama is about to play out, and I know for many Christians the thought of persecution is something we are concerned with, but let me read you several scriptures taking from the bible to show you, victory is on our side and that we do have a role in judging the world upon the return of Jesus.

Because while living in Babylon, Daniel had a vision concerning four beasts, the very same four beasts Ezekiel saw in his vision, and the same beast John saw in the book of Revelation. And seeing what the beast will do on the earth, Daniel grew anxious. He was anxious because the fourth beast seem to have won a battle against the saints, but when the angel gave Daniel the understanding of the vision, here is what we need to know.

Daniel 7:17-18 we read,These great beasts, which are four, are four kings, which shall arise out of the earth. But the saints of the Highest shall take the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.” And what Daniel came to understand, although four kings will come to power on earth in their time and season and seem to have dominion over the earth in their time and season, in the end it is the saints of God who will in the end take the kingdom and possess the kingdom forever.

Daniel said, “the saints of the most Heigh shall take the kingdom” the key point of the vision, and yet, here is my question, “how will this take place, and what are the signs leading up to this momentous event?” Let us read you another prophecy concerning the saints of the most Heigh.

In Jude 1:14-15 we read, “Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, and why is the Lord coming with ten thousands of his saints? Jude said it is “to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Christ.

And I would like to ask that question again, “What did Jude say the saint returning with Christ will do? They will according to Jude, “Execute judgment upon all, and convince all that are ungodly among men of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed.”

But let us read another prophecy concerning God’s approval and delight in his saint’s taking vengeance on this world for their ungodly deeds, and for rejecting the message of the gospel. And what is notable, the Lord said we are to be joyful, and why? It is our reward in Christ.

Psalm 149:5-9 “Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand; To execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this glory have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.

So, as we can see, we do have a role to play upon the return of Jesus Christ and the judging of the world, but the question I have for you is this, “How are we to be preparing for this role, and are we close to the time of God’s divine wrath?

Now, if we are to look at the book of Revelation, we all love so much, this is what we should be preparing for, the day of God’s wrath spoken of by John the Baptist who warned the Pharisees to bring forth fruit showing they have repented, and Jesus who told the Pharisees Matthew 26:64 Hereafter shall you see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power and coming in the clouds of heaven.” And when Jesus spoke of the clouds of heaven he was speaking of the saints, the ten thousands of saints returning with him to judge the world.

Here is the report of John, Revelation 19:11-15 I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”

God is returning to make war against the nations, he is faithful and true because he is committed to carry out the judgment, the judgment that was revealed from the beginning, the punishment he warned Adam of before his fall. His eyes are as a flame of fire because he is angry at the wicked every day. He has on his head many crowns because he is Lord of all the nations.

Upon the return of Jesus the whole earth will morn, but they will not escape the judgment, and they will morn because of the terror of judgment that has now arrived, and if we are to know anything, that is why we are told to turn the other cheek, it is to give God the opportunity to speak on our behalf, and for us to answer the wicked in the day of the Lord.

Ladies and gentlemen, despite what you have heard in the past, we do have a role to play in judging the world upon the return of Jesus, and so it is important we prepare ourselves for this role. So, as we are about to dive into our series to explain these upcoming events and our upcoming role in judging the world starting with the first four chapters of the bible.

We will begin at the first four chapters of Genesis for us to be able to see how these things will be and how we are to be preparing for our role as we await the call to arms in the authority of Christ. “I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.” Thank you for listening…
