The Final Empire {9}

This entry is part 9 of 15 in the series Psalm one

Bent on establishing an empire in defiance against the coming Christ, the world has set their minds on fighting against God that they might overthrow the Christ of God and his people. “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed,”

And this is their plan and what they are saying, “Let us break their bonds in pieces, and cast away their cords from us.” They are taking counsel through planning and deception on how to do away with Christ and his people.

But as they vainly plot to do away with the people of God and his Christ, God sent out a warning, ” Psalms 2:4-5,He that sits in the heavens shall laugh: The Lord shall hold them in contempt. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath and vex them in his sore displeasure.” And seeing that the nations are determined in their hearts to pursue the dreams of their fathers, God was again moved with anger; and judged them in their rebellion.

Seeing the things, the things the nations began to do, God sent among them destruction and confusion, so that they left off building the city, destroying their plans, and their great name. Nevertheless, each according to his tribe would go off in pursuit of his dream of an empire that he might become great in the earth, a god among the nations, and so that he might dominate and rule over the earth.

In the future to come, they will achieve their goal of an empire, and once in place, they will persecute the nations and people of Jesus Christ. Revelation 13:1-2 “And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.”

And through this authority, he will enact laws to prevent the advancement of the kingdom of God, and that he might fulfill his desire against the kingdom of God in his attempt to destroy and silence the proclamation that Jesus Christ is King of all the earth.

As a result of these things, and although the temptation is great because of the authority of the beast and empire of sin that came out of human rebellion. The righteous meditated on the law of God and having hidden the word of God in his heart prevent himself from falling into the temptation to stand with the ungodly.

Putting to remembrance the word of God, he counts it a temporal moment for this empire that is resisting the coming kingdom of God. For this empire and king according to Daniel 7:25Shall speak great words against the Highest, and shall wear out the saints of the Highest, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.”

This was and will be the temptation the saints of God will face, the burden to endure the time allotted the Antichrist and the empire he has established in defiance to the reign of Jesus Christ. But having known the secret of the Lord, and that the Lord will have victory over the Antichrist, the blessed man is resisting the counsel of the ungodly.

Therefore, regardless of the persecution he faces, and the pressures of the world for him to deny and turn away from God. The righteous know the plans of the world are vain, he understood he is to stand firm and not envy the wicked because he succeeds in and through lawlessness. Because in the season to come, and at the end of God’s grace, the King of kings will put an end to the reign of the Antichrist, and the seed of the serpent.

And because he understands fully the end of the world, their dreams, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of the world and their failure to repent, he is taking delight in the law of God and to not bend to the pressures of the world to join them in their rebellion against God and his son Jesus Christ.

Daniel 7:21-23I beheld, and the same horn made war with the saints and prevailed against them; Until the Ancient of days came, and judgment was given to the saints of the Highest, and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom.

Thus, he said, the fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.”
