The Harvest is Plentiful

Hello everyone, my name is Kevin founder, Director, and President of “Spectacle for Christ international Ministries” I’m here today because I believe it is time we unify on a global level to effectively delver the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.

Alone we can do little to reach a few, but together on a global level we can do much, much more. And setting the example for us, Jesus at the beginning of his ministry went out and took to himself twelve disciples that would help his ministry and mission.

I’m one man, one person filled with the passion to deliver the gospel of Jesus Christ, but my reach is limited to those around me to whom I often share the gospel with. But what about the broader ocean, what about the entire globe, are we not to spread our wings.

Like myself, you are champions for the gospel sharing with your friends and neighbors the message of the kingdom, but in you there is more fire, that if let lose will set the world ablaze. And, it is for this reason I’ve invited you here, so together we can set the entire world on fire for Jesus Christ.

We recognize, this world is not our own, we recognize we are working toward a greater goal which is to establish God’s kingdom on earth. We know this to be a fact because that is what we were told, “The righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.” Psalm 37:29. And because we have the word of wisdom which is the word of life we were given the mission to proclaim God’s kingdom to every nation.

The words of our king to his people are these, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  Mathew 28:18-20.

Having received absolute power from the father to rule and reign, Jesus delegated the authority of the kingdom to his people or disciples. John wrote to us saying, “to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13. And if we are standing or sitting here today knowing in our hearts we have accepted Jesus Christ, we should know we have the right to stand as a son of God.

What is this right and what can we do with this right John speaks of? According to Jesus, it is the right to fulfill the duties of the kingdom. We have become disciples of Jesus Christ and becoming disciples we have the right or authority to do the things Jesus said we are do. What are those things and what can we do with this right and authority? Here is what Jesus said we can do with the right and sonship we have received through Jesus Christ.

Jesus said to his disciples, “When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.” Luke 9:1-2.

I want to tell you something, demons will continue to destroy those in bondage unless a disciple of Christ shows up to deal with him. I want to tell you something, if we are looking for miracles we will not find miracles unless one of Jesus’ disciples shows up to perform miracles, and if you are wondering why we are not seeing miracles it’s because we are not showing up.

It takes two things for a miracle to take place, the circumstance that requires the miracle and the performer of miracles. It takes two things for demons to be cast out and that is for the demon to be in place and the one who cast out demons both circumstances that involves you the disciple of Jesus Christ. If we want to see miracle, and if we want to see demons defeated, we need to show up and we need to take authority.

Now let me speak a little about justification because I believe it is necessary we understand fully what it is. Justification is what gives us the right to be called the son of God. When we accept Jesus Christ, we are setting a few things in motion, we are agreeing with God we do not deserve his mercy, we are confirming we are rebellious. That is the first thing we put in motion.

The second thing we put in motion, is the opportunity for God to forgive us. We cannot be forgiven for things we do not confess. It is when we confess our sins we put into motion the first steps toward being justified, it is an act of righteousness, it is our first step toward speaking the truth and because we speak the truth that we are sinners Jesus then moves forward and confirm his covenant on our lives.

The third thing we set in motion, is God’s grace of justification. First, we agree we ae sinners creating the opportunity for God to forgive us which then moves God to count us as justified. Once we are justified it gives us the right to fulfill the work of the kingdom. Why? Because we are no longer guilty, we are no longer dominated by guilt that would otherwise cripple us, and because we are no longer burden down by guilt when the enemy come reminding us of the things we did in the past we can stand up and say to him, I’m justified and because we ae justified we can cast them out because they have nothing by which to condemn us.

Guilt is one of the enemy’s weapon, and because of guilt we often back down when challenged by the world. It is no secret we used to live by the standards of the world, it is no secret we are unworthy of God’s grace, but even so, we need to remember one thing, which is the words of Jesus Christ.

Jesus said to his disciples, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.  John 15:16. Jesus in making this statement is saying we have the right by his authority to perform the work of the kingdom and because we are justified God will grant us all that we ask of him.

Are we the disciples of Jesus Christ, and have we accepted Jesus as our king? If so, why are we living or allowing the old way of life to bring us down? Why because we may have stumbled a few things and in the future allow our stumbles to set us back. Let us remember, God was the one who choose us first, and in choosing us he gave us an appointment to proclaim the gospel.

If we have fallen, let us now pick ourselves up, because as children of God we cannot continue to live the old live. We cannot continue to live the old live because the spirit of God will not allow us to. David said,

“When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer. Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin. Therefore, let all the faithful pray to you while you may be found; surely the rising of the mighty waters will not reach them. You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalm 32:3-7

As Christians, we may fall, but we cannot stay down for long because the Lord will be right there pushing on the back of us to get up. And the longer we stay down the more aggressive he becomes until we stand on our feet once more and begin to move forward.

We are justified because of Christ, this means our sins are forgiven, we are confirmed, in the book of life next to our names in one single word, “Justified” and because we are justified we have the right to pass judgment on this world, we have the right and authority to fulfill the work of the kingdom and because this is our calling and appointment we must act, we must move forward.

This is our time, this is our generation, are we ready to dust ourselves off, and are we ready to lift our heads up? If so why don’t you join me in this cause, why don’t we come together to complete the call and appointment on our lives?

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

I’m looking into the world and I see a people deceived and harassed, and I’m asking you to join me, I’m asking the Lord of the harvest to send workers into his field. Will you go into God’s field with me?
