Are we the friend of Jesus the King of kings? This was a question presented to the disciples of Jesus Christ, and not just the twelve but those who would come to accept Jesus as their king. Judas said he was a friend but then chose to sit at the enemy of the Lord’s table to betray his king with a kiss. And do we really believe in the authority of Jesus Christ.
Jesus asked his disciples, John 15:14-15 “Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” And the question of the day and hour, “If we believe in the King if we truly believe in Jesus, are we doing what he asks us to do?”
Matthew 16:24-26 “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
