Today I would like to ask you the question, “who wrote the bible?” And the reason I am asking you this question it is because if we understand the story behind how we came in possession of the word of God, we will have a better understanding of the bible, and our faith in God will grow ever stronger.
Now, I know the first thing that will come to mind when I ask the question “who wrote the bible” will be Moses because Moses is the closest connected person we have in history that was born during the early stages and development of the bible. But what if I was to tell you, Moses was born after Abraham, and Abraham was born after Noah. So, my next question would naturally be, “where did they get the story from concerning our savior Jesus Christ?”
It would be natural to say their parents, and grandparents because as we look back even in our own lives, the things we know today were passed down to us from our parents. So, if we are to discover who wrote the bible, Yes, Moses may have put it all together, however, we know he was not the first man in history to have encountered God.
So, was it Moses, Abraham, or was it Noah responsible for writing the bible, and to have passed the stories on concerning the savior to come? They may not have personally written the bible, but they were the grandparents of those who came after them? Therefore, for us to discover the source of the story, we would have to go all the way back to the beginning, and where we would end up is at Adam, the first man.
But why did he write the bible and or pass the story on down to us in our generations concerning the coming savior? Could it be because as we do today he is trying to help us not make the same mistake he made that we might enjoy the blessings of God, or was it because he wanted us to understand the history of the world? Well, you will just have to wait until next time as we continue on our journey to discovery this wonder reason…
Thank you for being with us today, and we hope you will join us again. But until then, may God bless and keep you in good health.
