The central theme of the world today on a global scale is that we are facing a crisis, and the crisis we are facing is called “Global Warming.” And to get the rest of us on board to change the way we live and use the products the world is producing; the message of imminent doom is being preached throughout the world.

We see the storms, we have felt the earthquakes, and we have seen the droughts, and to solve what the world sees as a problem, they are looking to the gospel of science and not God to resolve this problem. A problem the very human hands, and minds have created.

However, among the family of Abraham, we know there is another solution, and why we are having what the world is calling a coming global catastrophe. It all started back in history when man chose to disobey the Creator because man wanted to become a god himself. for when it was good for man to have obeyed God that he might enjoy the gift of God created for him, he chose to walk in the way of the wicked, a choice that has now brought on us all the appointed judgment.

Genesis 3:17-19 “Cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt, thou eat of it all the days of thy life; thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee, and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it was thou brought forth: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.”

However, forgetting who had made us and gave us this gift of life, and the earth. Instead of looking to God for the answers, we are looking to men of science for the solution. But among believers, we understand and are aware of the one in charge of all things, and what we know to be true is that as long as the earth remains, we will forever experience the four seasons. Because after destroying the old world for its rebellion against his authority, God made a covenant to preserve the earth and human life forever.

Genesis 8:21-22 “And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

So, as we look into the things that are coming upon the earth, as Christians, we are not worried, nor are we shaken by the things we see coming upon the earth. Because we know who is in charge and has power over the earth to shake it like a tree so that the waters of the earth jumped their banks. For when he came into the world, he demonstrated his power over the earth, so that we marvelled, and beholding his glory we wondered saying, “What manner of man is this?” And from what we have witnessed, our conclusion is that the manner of this man is Jesus the Christ.

Matthew 8:24-27 “Behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, what manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”

Now, addressing the things we see coming upon the earth and what we call global warming, the alarm sending the world on a mission to change the way we live. And it is no wonder so many of us are deceived into believing the world will end if we do not change the way we live.

There is no doubt the world will end, but not if we do not change the way we live. The change that is needed to take place for the world to remain, is a change that calls on Jesus to save us because the changes we are seeking to make in an effort to save the planet are not what’s needed.

Here is what the future is for the world and those refusing to turn to God. First Jesus said, “take heed that no man deceives you.” And that is important because many will seek to take advantage of the uninformed. Then he went on to tell us what the state of the world will be like before his returns.

Matthew 24:5-8 “Many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers’ places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”

All these things are the beginning of sorrows, and what that means is that things are going to get a whole lot worse than they are now. But Jesus said we are not to worry or be afraid and that is because he is in charge.
